The first launches of Abu Dhabi television was in 1969, but it was re-launched in a new form in the year 2000. It remained in the light of renewals until its final current form.

Abu Dhabi Channel broadcasts programs directly from Abu Dhabi the capital of United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Abu Dhabi Media Company owns it. It is a major media company which owns many of the channels and radio stations that run successfully in the region.
