Radio Amman FM Jordan was created on the 14th of May 1948, where the Arabs of the staff of the Broadcasting Corporation of British mandate and with the assistance of the Jordanian Arab army joined together to take over the Arabic radio station. They transferred significant equipments of the radio station from Jerusalem to Ramallah, where the radio began broadcasting immediately.
In April 24, 1950 it became the Arabic radio station broadcasting from Ramallah in the name of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. In 1956 was the opening of a radio station the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in Jabal Al-Hussein in Amman and was opened by the late His Majesty King Al Hussein. Radio Amman FM broadcasts on 99.0 FM
