Radio Amman Net is now called Radio AlBalad Amman Jordan. It has been launched in year 2000 as an online radio since the law in Jordan prohibits the creation of private radio stations.
Radio Amman Net FM was established as a non-governmental association by the voluntary work of the journalist “Daoud Kitab” under the support of UNESCO and the Greater Amman Municipality. In July 2005, it was initiated on FM frequency 92.4 that covers the big city of Amman, and thus it has become the first Jordanian social radio station.
Radio Albalad Amman Jordan has developed in its editorial goals that it targets the base of the capital of the Jordanian society, which is home to about 38.8% of the population of Jordan, whose population is around 5 million and a half.
