Ta. Sin. Mim. (1) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
These are revelations of the Scripture that maketh plain. (2) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
It may be that thou tormentest thyself O Muhammad because they believe not. (3) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
If We will, We can send down on them from the sky a portent so that their necks would remain bowed before it. (4) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Never cometh there unto them a fresh reminder from the Beneficent One, but they turn away from it. (5) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Now they have denied the Truth; but there will come unto them tidings of that whereat they used to scoff. (6) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Have they not seen the earth, how much of every fruitful kind We make to grow therein? (7) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Lo! herein is indeed a portent; yet most of them are not believers. (8) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And lo! thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. (9) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And when thy Lord called Moses, saying: Go unto the wrongdoing folk, (10) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
The folk of Pharaoh. Will they not ward off evil? (11) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
He said: My Lord! Lo! I fear that they will deny me, (12) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And I shall be embarrassed, and my tongue will not speak plainly, therefor send for Aaron to help me. (13) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And they have a crime against me, so I fear that they will kill me. (14) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
He said: Nay, verily. So go ye twain with Our tokens. Lo! We shall be with you, Hearing. (15) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And come together unto Pharaoh and say: Lo! we bear a message of the Lord of the Worlds, (16) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Saying: Let the Children of Israel go with Us. (17) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Pharaoh said unto Moses: Did we not rear thee among us as a child? And thou didst dwell many years of thy life among us, (18) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And thou didst that thy deed which thou didst, and thou wast one of the ingrates, (19) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
He said: I did it then, when I was of those who are astray. (20) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Then I fled from you when I feared you, and my Lord vouchsafed me a command and appointed me of the number of those sent by Him. (21) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And this is the past favor wherewith thou reproachest me: that thou hast enslaved the Children of Israel. (22) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Pharaoh said: And what is the Lord of the Worlds? (23) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Moses said: Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, if ye had but sure belief. (24) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Pharaoh said unto those around him: Hear ye not? (25) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
He said: Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers. (26) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Pharaoh said: Lo! your messenger who hath been sent unto you is indeed a madman! (27) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
He said: Lord of the East and the West and all that is between them, if ye did but understand. (28) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Pharaoh said: If thou choosest a god other than me, I assuredly shall place thee among the prisoners. (29) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
He said: Even though I show thee something plain? (30) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Pharaoh said: Produce it then, if thou art of the truthful! (31) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Then he Sung down his staff and it became a serpent manifest, (32) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And he drew forth his hand and lo! it was white to the beholders. (33) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Pharaoh said unto the chiefs about him: Lo, this is verily a knowing wizard, (34) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Who would drive you out of your land by his magic. Now what counsel ye? (35) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
They said: Put him off, him and his brother, and send them into the cities summoners (36) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Who shall bring unto thee every knowing wizard. (37) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
So the wizards were gathered together at a set time on a day appointed. (38) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And it was said unto the people: Are ye also gathering? (39) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
They said: Aye, so that we may follow the wizards if they are the winners. (40) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And when the wizards came they said unto Pharaoh: Will there surely be a reward for us if we are the winners? (41) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
He said: Aye, and ye will then surely be of those brought near to me. (42) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Moses said unto them: Throw what ye are going to throw! (43) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Then they threw down their cords and their staves and said: By Pharaoh's might, lo! we verily are the winners. (44) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Then Moses threw his staff and lo! it swallowed that which they did falsely show. (45) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And the wizards were flung prostrate, (46) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Crying: We believe in the Lord of the Worlds, (47) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
The Lord of Moses and Aaron. (48) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Pharaoh said, Ye put your faith in him before I give you leave. Lo! he doubtless is your chief who taught you magic! But verily ye shall come to know. Verily I will cut off your hands and your feet alternately, and verily I will crucify you everyone. (49) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
They said: It is no hurt, for lo! unto our Lord we shall return. (50) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Lo! we ardently hope that our Lord will forgive us our sins because we are the first of the believers. (51) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And We inspired Moses, saying: Take away My slaves by night, for ye will be pursued. (52) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Then Pharaoh sent into the cities summoners, (53) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Who said: Lo! these indeed are but a little troop, (54) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And lo! they are offenders against us. (55) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And lo! we are a ready host. (56) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Thus did We take them away from gardens and water springs, (57) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And treasures and a fair estate. (58) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Thus were those things taken from them and We caused the Children of Israel to inherit them. (59) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And they overtook them at sunrise. (60) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And when the two hosts saw each other, those with Moses said: Lo! we are indeed caught. (61) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
He said: Nay, verily! for lo! my Lord is with me. He will guide me. (62) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Then We inspired Moses, saying: Smite the sea with thy staff. And it parted, and each part was as a mountain vast. (63) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Then brought We near the others to that place. (64) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And We saved Moses and those with him, every one; (65) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
We drowned the others. (66) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. (67) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And lo, thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. (68) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Recite unto them the story of Abraham: (69) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
When he said unto his father and his folk: What worship ye? (70) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
They said: We worship idols, and are ever devoted unto them. (71) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
He said: Do they hear you when ye cry? (72) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Or do they benefit or harm you? (73) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
They said: Nay, but we found our fathers acting on this use. (74) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
He said: See now that which ye worship, (75) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Ye and your forefathers! (76) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Lo! they are all an enemy unto me, save the Lord of the Worlds. (77) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Who created me, and He doth guide me, (78) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And Who feedeth me and watereth me. (79) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And when I sicken, then He healeth me, (80) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And Who causeth me to die, the giveth me life again, (81) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And Who, I ardently hope, will forgive me my sin on the Day of Judgement. (82) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
My Lord! Vouchsafe me wisdom and unite me to the righteous. (83) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And give unto me a good report in later generations. (84) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And place me among the inheritors of the Garden of Delight, (85) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And forgive my father. Lo! he is of those who err. (86) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And abase me not on the day when they are raised, (87) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
The day when wealth and sons avail not any man (88) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Save him who bringeth unto Allah a whole heart. (89) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And the Garden will be brought nigh for those who ward off evil. (90) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And hell will appear plainly to the erring. (91) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And it will be said unto them: Where is all that ye used to worship (92) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Instead of Allah? Can they help you or help themselves? (93) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Then they will be hurled therein, they and the seducers (94) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And the hosts of Iblis, together. (95) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And they will say, when they are quarrelling therein: (96) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
By Allah, of a truth we were in error manifest (97) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
When we made you equal with the Lord of the Worlds. (98) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
It was but the guilty who misled us. (99) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Now we have no intercessors (100) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Nor any loving friend. (101) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Oh, that we had another turn on earth, that we might be of the believers! (102) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers! (103) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And lo, thy Lord! He is Indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. (104) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Noah's folk denied the messengers of Allah, (105) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
When their brother Noah said unto them: Will ye not ward off evil? (106) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you, (107) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
So keep your duty to Allah, and obey me. (108) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And I ask of you no wage therefor; my wage is the concern only of the Lord of the Worlds. (109) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
So keep your duty to Allah, and obey me. (110) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
They said: Shall we put faith in thee, when the lowest of the people follow thee? (111) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
He said: And what knowledge have I of what they may have been doing in the past? (112) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Lo! their reckoning is my Lord's concern, if ye but knew; (113) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And I am not here to repulse believers. (114) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
I am only a plain warner. (115) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
They said: If thou cease not, O Noah, thou wilt surely be among those stoned to death. (116) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
He said: My Lord! Lo! my own folk deny me. (117) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Therefor judge Thou between us, a conclusive judgment, and save me and those believers who are with me. (118) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And We saved him and those with him in the laden ship. (119) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Then afterward We drowned the others. (120) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. (121) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And lo, thy Lord, He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. (122) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
The tribe of Aad denied the messengers of Allah, (123) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
When their brother Hud said unto them: Will ye not ward off evil? (124) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you, (125) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
So keep your duty to Allah and obey me. (126) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And I ask of you no wage therefor; my wage is the concern only of the Lord of the Worlds. (127) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Build ye on every high place a monument for vain delight? (128) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And seek ye out strongholds, that haply ye may last for ever? (129) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And if ye seize by force, seize ye as tyrants? (130) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Rather keep your duty to Allah, and obey me. (131) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Keep your duty toward Him who hath aided you with the good things that ye know, (132) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Hath aided you with cattle and sons. (133) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And gardens and watersprings. (134) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Lo! I fear for you the retribution of an awful day. (135) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
They said: It is all one to us whether thou preachest or art not of those who preach; (136) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
This is but a fable of the men of old, (137) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And we shall not be doomed. (138) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And they denied him; therefor We destroyed them. Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. (139) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And lo! thy Lord, He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. (140) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
The tribe of Thamud denied the messengers of Allah (141) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
When their brother Salih said unto them: Will ye not ward off evil? (142) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you, (143) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
So keep your duty to Allah and obey me. (144) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And I ask of you no wage therefor; my wage is the concern only of the Lord of the Worlds. (145) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Will ye be left secure in that which is here before us, (146) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
In gardens and watersprings (147) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And tilled fields and heavy sheathed palm trees, (148) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Though ye hew out dwellings in the mountain, being skilful? (149) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Therefor keep your duty to Allah and obey me, (150) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And obey not the command of the prodigal, (151) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Who spread corruption in the earth, and reform not. (152) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
They said: Thou art but one of the bewitched; (153) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Thou art but a mortal like us. So bring some token if thou art of the truthful. (154) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
He said: Behold this she camel. She hath the right to drink at the well, and ye have the right to drink, each on an appointed day. (155) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And touch her not with ill lest there come on you the retribution of an awful day. (156) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
But they hamstrung her, and then were penitent. (157) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
So the retribution came on them. Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. (158) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And lo! thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. (159) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
The folk of Lot denied the messengers of Allah, (160) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
When their brother Lot said unto them: Will ye not ward off evil? (161) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you, (162) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
So keep your duty to Allah and obey me. (163) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And I ask of you no wage therefor; my wage is the concern only of the Lord of the Worlds. (164) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
What! Of all creatures do ye come unto the males, (165) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And leave the wives your Lord created for you? Nay, but ye are froward folk. (166) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
They said: If thou cease not, O Lot, thou wilt soon be of the outcast. (167) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
He said: I am in truth of those who hate your conduct. (168) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
My Lord! Save me and my household from what they do. (169) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
So We saved him and his household, every one, (170) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Save an old woman among those who stayed behind. (171) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Then afterward We destroyed the others. (172) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And We rained on them a rain. And dreadful is the rain of those who have been warned. (173) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. (174) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And lo! thy Lord, He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. (175) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
The dwellers in the wood of Midian denied the messengers of Allah, (176) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
When Shueyb said unto them: Will ye not ward off evil? (177) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you, (178) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
So keep your duty to Allah and obey me. (179) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And I ask of you no wage for it; my wage is the concern only of the Lord of the Worlds. (180) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Give full measure, and be not of those who give less than the due. (181) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And weigh with the true balance. (182) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Wring not mankind in their goods, and do not evil, making mischief, in the earth. (183) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And keep your duty unto Him Who created you and the generations of the men of old. (184) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
They said: Thou art but one of the bewitched; (185) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Thou art but a mortal like us, and lo! we deem thee of the liars. (186) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Then make fragments of the heaven fall upon us, if thou art of the truthful. (187) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
He said: My Lord is best aware of what ye do. (188) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
But they denied him, so there came on them the retribution of the day of gloom. Lo! it was the retribution of an awful day. (189) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Lo! herein is indeed a portent; yet most of them are not believers. (190) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And lo! thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. (191) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And lo! it is a revelation of the Lord of the Worlds, (192) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Which the True Spirit hath brought down (193) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Upon thy heart, that thou mayest be one of the warners, (194) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
In plain Arabic speech. (195) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And lo, it is in the Scriptures of the men of old. (196) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Is it not a token for them that the doctors of the Children of Israel know it? (197) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And if We had revealed it unto one of any other nation than the Arabs, (198) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And he had read it unto them, they would not have believed in it. (199) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Thus do We make it traverse the hearts of the guilty. (200) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
They will not believe in it till they behold the painful doom, (201) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
So that it will come upon them suddenly, when they perceive not. (202) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Then they will say: Are we to be reprieved? (203) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Would they now hasten on Our doom? (204) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Hast thou then seen, We content them for long years, (205) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And then cometh that which they were promised, (206) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
How that wherewith they were contented naught availeth them? (207) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And We destroyed no township but it had its warners (208) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
For reminder, for We never were oppressors. (209) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
The devils did not bring it down. (210) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
It is not meet for them, nor is it in their power, (211) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Lo! verily they are banished from the hearing. (212) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Therefor invoke not with Allah another god, lest thou be one of the doomed. (213) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And warn thy tribe of near kindred, (214) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And lower thy wing in kindness unto those believers who follow thee. (215) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And if they thy kinsfolk disobey thee, say: Lo! I am innocent of what they do. (216) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And put thy trust in the Mighty, the Merciful. (217) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Who seeth thee when thou standest up to pray (218) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And seeth thine abasement among those who fall prostrate in worship. (219) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Lo! He, only He, is the Hearer, the Knower. (220) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Shall I inform you upon whom the devils descend? (221) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
They descend on every sinful, false one. (222) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
They listen eagerly, but most of them are liars. (223) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
As for poets, the erring follow them. (224) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Hast thou not seen how they stray in every valley, (225) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
And how they say that which they do not? (226) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
Save those who believe and do good works, and remember Allah much, and vindicate themselves after they have been wronged. Those who do wrong will come to know by what a great reverse they will be overturned! (227) - [Tafseer in Arabic]
