He is originally Lebanese; he grew up in Beirut, but soon moved to Germany, in 1978. He is the Arabic artist Rabih Abou Khalil. Ever since he was young, he learned how to play on the lute and on the flute in the National Conservatory in Beirut and in Germany.
Rabih Abou Khalil worked on merging the Arabic music with Jazz, which is why he always played on the Lute along with the Jazz guitar. He used famous Jazz music like the music of Ornet Koal Man, Frank Zaba and Toba…
In 1988, Rabih released his first album “Nafs”, in 1992 “Jdideh” and “Blue Camel”… and then, the work of Rabih flourished.
In addition to that, he launched a new television sitcom “Figures of Music” which means the outlook of music.
