Radio Sultanate of Oman launched its broadcasting on July 30, 1970. It was a small radio station located at Bait Al Falaj in Ruwi. Radio Sultanate Oman kept developing its transmission system and broadcasted from Muscat and Salalah stations in 1979.
Both English and Arabic programs are broadcasted 24 hours. The Arabic programs are transmitted through Arabsat satellite, Egyptian Milesat and Hot Bird 4 satellite. While as the English programs are transmitted through Arabsat 2 satellite.
Radio Sultanate of Oman covers all regions of the Sultanate, and broadcasts to Asia, Africa, North and South America.
