After an absence of 4 years, the Lebanese singer Julia Boutros sang for love, resistance and exile on Saturday night 4th of February 2012 on the stage of “Platea” in  Sahel Alma-Jounieh. Accompanied by a huge orchestra of about 100 people between players and chorus in front of more than three thousand people; Julia Boutros, dressed in a black dress, was received with open arms standing on mid-stage and appeared in a captivating first appearance.

On both sides of the stage, spread the City of Prague Philharmonic  Orchestra and Julia Boutros, the famous Lebanese singer, daughter of Tyre in southern Lebanon, sang many songs for her country and for resistance. Starting with a national song entitled “Swad El Leil” from her new album “Yawman Ma” which is currently the number 1 Album in the Lebanese charts.

After the first song, she said “Finally the 4th of February came and we met. There are lots of stories that we’re going to talk about tonight together, stories of the things that began and others that remained, stories of people who loved us and left, stories of homelands and people that have changed or did not change…”

She sang several songs from her new album and other old songs, the program of the concert was as follows : Yawman ma, Mghallat Bel 3enwan, 3ala shou, watan w gherbi, ya osas, then the band and chorus played “T3awwadna 3lek“, and Julia came back on stage after just 4 min of break, to continue her repertoire with Shou el 7elo feek, Ya Mashallah, Habibi (dedicated for Talal, a 17 year old boy who was hit by a car last year and died), Atfal (Lyrics of a dear friend: Ghiwa Haddad), Lebnan, Intasara Loubnan, Noukawem, then continued with a nice medley: El Madi 7tara2, 2al Akhad Arar, Ya m3ammarli bayt, Bisara7a, and proceeded with Wein Msafer, Ana Betnaffas 7oriyeh, Ared el Mala7em, and finally took all the audience breath with the sound of helicopters as if the stage was invaded, and she sang Atlek Niranak  while ropes fell down from the ceiling and during the performance of this song a group of soldiers from the Lebanese army carrying Lebanese flags, came down the stage.

And at the insistence of the audience, Julia Boutros came back to the theater and sand “3ala ma yabdou” and again with much insistence she sang  ”A7iba2i”.

After Julia Boutros  2012 concert in Platea, her brother Ziad Boutros said that the date of the next concert might be in the summer.
