Mashrou3 Leila raised over 20,000$ for a good cause

On the occasion of World AIDS Day, the American University of Beirut is presenting several concerts in the Assembly Hall. On the 1st of December, it held a concert led by Gabriel Abdel Nour, accompanied by Aline Dakesyan on the piano.

On Thursday, 9th of December, 2010 , the Lebanese Medical Student’s International Committee (LeMSIC), and SCORA organized a concert for the Lebanese Band “Mashour3 Leila“, and the profits of the concert goes for helping AIDS patients in Lebanon.

Members of Mashrou3 Leila are all former students of AUB and they have held the charity concert for a special cause – Haig Papazian, Omaya Malaeb, Hamed Sinno, Carl Gerges, Firas Abou Fakher and Andre Chedid accompanied by a STRING SEPTET, performed for an hour wearing black suits and white shirts with the red AIDS ribbon.

Mashrou3 Leila, singing for a good cause, raised over $20,000 – All proceeds from this event went towards the HIV/AIDS fund at AUB-Medical Center Out Patient Department, and Hotel Dieu de France.
