Promising Talented Lebanese Youths at Mishkal Festival 2012

Mishkal (kaleidoscope) is a 4 day festival that features artistic works by Lebanese young people who will be expressing themselves and showing their talents to the community whether through music, plays, films, and art exhibitions…all taking place at Al Madina Theater in Hamra – Beirut.

The event is organized by the renowned theater director Nidal Al Ashkar in cooperation with the European Union and Agonistik Performing Arts; with the support of: The Ministry of Culture, The Ministry of Education, The Ministry of Tourism, and The Municipality of Beirut.

The opening ceremony on September 18, 2012 featured a a special appearance by Mike Massy who sang solo to the piano. In an interview with Al-Akhbar Newspaper, Mike Massy said that the festival “is a unique opportunity in our Arab world, where we lack adventurers to help build the dreams of the youth.”

Whoever watched Mike Massy, left the theater in a puzzling reaction …. He has performed: Sawti Hareb Menni, Dayye2 Fayy Shebbakek, Ya Zaman, Law Fiyyi Teer, Jazer w Madd, Meen Yalli 2al, Ya 3ashikata Al Layl, and ended with “Khalasna Ba2a“.

Tonight, Thursday 20 September 2012 , Gilbert Simon will be performing LIVE & ACOUSTIC as part of MISHKAL Festival 2012 at Al Madina Theater
