Studio El Fan on MTV
Studio El Fann is a talent TV program that has first started in the 1970’s on Tele Liban, the Lebanese national TV station. It is from Studio El Fan that many stars from the Arab world have launched to the world of fame. The name “Simon Asmar” has been associated to Studio El Fann, since he is the director and owner of this Talent TV program, he is the one who stood next to the future stars to come, and who encouraged them all the way until they reach stardom
Studio El Fan used to run every four years in a new season holding many talented people from Lebanon and the Arab world. Contestants compete in many categories like Arabic songs in all its types, oriental dance or belly dance, and imitation… to get an award of either gold, silver or bronze medals

Studio El Fan started first on Tele Liban, and then in 1990 it was broadcasted on LBC. After 8 years of absence Studio El Fan comes back in 2009 to be aired on MTV (Murr TV). It is said to begin in October 2009 since the applications has taken place in September 2009 in Forum De Beyrouth. Bachir Asmar, son of Simon Asmar, will be the director of Studio El Fann for this season
